CaptureBites™ is specialized in developing IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) software for automated processing & data capture from documents.
A document can be an email with or without attachments, a document scanned with an MFP, document scanner or smartphone.
Our flagship product is MetaServer. This is an IDP platform to process Email, PDF, TIF, JPG, Word and Excel files etc. You can use it to separate document sets, extract and format key data, validate the result with db lookups and rules, convert files to searchable PDF etc. The result can be used to update a system of choice. Sending a document to MetaServer triggers the robot to execute all automatic steps as defined by easy to configure rules.
The CaptureBites product suite also includes connectors to add functionality to Tungsten Express, Tungsten Capture and Tungsten TotalAgility scan software.
CaptureBites products are affordable and have a low learning curve. They are designed for use as a small and medium business or departmental solution.

MetaServer - Redact
With the Redact action, you can automatically redact / black out sensitive, extracted information. The redacted text is embedded in the document image and cannot be made visible with a PDF editor. This action is included with the "Digital Imprinter" license.
MetaServer - Export to REST API
With the Export to REST API action, you can create your own MetaServer export connector to export to any web service that has a REST API available.
MetaServer - Reserve documents using MetaServer User Groups
We have added the feature to reserve documents using MetaServer User Groups.
This is useful, if, for example, you are a department in a larger company that does not have rights to create “Active Directory” user groups. Without any delay, you can create an internal MetaServer User Group to reserve documents for specific users or group.
MetaServer - Extract Text (ADI): Custom Extraction Model
If you have documents for which there is no prebuilt model, like shipping documents, litigation documents, HR documents, contracts, etc. you can now create your own Custom Extraction model using the Azure Document Intelligence Studio (DI Studio).
MetaServer - Extract Text (ADI): Custom Classification Model
Automatically detect your document type in a single step. You can then also use the result to automatically separate document sets based on the document type. You build your classification model using the Azure Document Intelligence Studio (DI Studio).
How to use OAuth2 with Export to SharePoint
Originally, our Export to SharePoint Connectors for both MetaServer and Tungsten / Kofax Express 3.2 used basic authentication. This has been replaced by OAuth2 by Microsoft starting from 2018 and has been completely disabled in August 2025, causing login issues.
